Child Labor

I am working on a project to burn and print 500 dvd's for Superbride Sunday. I am doing them myself because it was VERY expensive to have it done and I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. Well, my 10 year old nephew graciously offered to help me out (if I paid him) since he was saving up his money to buy an Xbox. So, he came over on his half day off from school last week and we finished up about 150 of them. I still have a long way to go, but at least there is a light at the end of the tunnel. As of today, I have all of them burned and still have 250 to print. Maybe I can put my 4 year old son to work too! :)

Here are 400 of them stacked up. I guess I should have stacked them all up to show how many there really were.

Nick...hard at work!

Ahhhhhhh! Progress...

My poor little dvd burner sure is working overtime!

Christina and Jay E-session

Back on November 1st, I had the pleasure of meeting this wonderful couple for the first time. Until now, all of my communication has been with their wedding planner, Veronica Hamilton with V&Co. Christina and Jay are both in the military and are stationed in Japan so this was their first of two trips home before the wedding. We had an awesome time in downtown Evansville for their engagement shoot and even had an inside scoop when we found out that Christina's stylist "knew someone" at the Old Courthouse. We were able to get inside and got some amazing shots with natural light, which is my favorite shooting style. It was very hard to edit this shoot because there just wasn't a bad shot of either one of them! I am really looking forward to their wedding day in May 2008.

Rebecca and Bruce

Well, I have to say that Rebecca and Bruce far exceeded my expectations of a "Simple Elegance" wedding. We couldn't have asked for a better day in November. It was warm and there were many beautiful fall leaves still on the trees. Their wedding day began at St. John the Baptist in Newburgh with a beautiful bride and a handsome groom. We went from the church to Rolling Hills Country Club for a very elegant and intimate reception with their friends and family. Rolling Hills had a golf cart ready for us to take to the lake for some photos. I forgot to mention that since April couldn't be with me on this wedding, I talked hubby into coming along and helping me. Since he isn't the photographer in the family, I have to say that I am impressed with many of the shots that he took for me. I just wish he would agree to come along more often, but he says that is one too many days of me telling him what to do.

Congratulations to Rebecca and Bruce! You may click here if you want to see the rest of their wedding images.
