Lisa and Bryan
Lisa and Bryan were married July 12th at Howell General Baptist. It started out as a beautiful sunny day and just as we were leaving the church to take some downtown photos, it started pouring. Luckily, we were prepared with an umbrella and a backup plan. Instead of braving the rain, the bridal party piled into the limo and headed downtown to Blush for some cocktails. Everyone had a great time and then headed off to The Ivy Room for the reception. Yummy!

Candace and Corey
Fireworks went off when Candace and Corey got married...literally! They were married on July 4th at St. Philip Catholic Church with the reception following at The Discovery Lodge. There was no red, white or blue at this wedding though. They were all decked out in hot pink and orange which made for a very festive event. Congrats to Candace and Corey - I enjoyed sharing this special day with you!

Bag, Borrow or Steal?

New hubby can't afford those Tiffany earrings you've had your eye on? Well...just borrow them! They are only $101 for a week, but act fast since there is a waiting list. I think this is the greatest idea since sliced bread. Check this out and you will see what I am talking about. They make having designer jewelry for your wedding affordable. And let's face it, you typically only wear your wedding jewelry once, right?

Jennifer and Cole
This happy couple was married on June 21st at The Turning Pointe United Methodist and the reception took place at The Centre. Jennifer and Cole have known each other since grade school and started dating right before high school. Jennifer's "something old" was a note to her best friend in grade school about Cole. Another interesting fact: Cole sometimes looks like a character in Star Wars. Can you guess which one?
Congrats to both of you Jennifer and Cole - I enjoyed capturing your special day!

We just returned from Fort Myers Beach and Disneyworld. It was a wonderful trip and nice to be away from photography for a bit. Of course, I can never truly get away from taking photos since I am the official photographer for our family too. Here are a few pics from our trip:
No idea who these people are, I just thought they looked nice holding hands in the sunset.

Andrew loved building sandcastles.
This kid happened to run right into my sunset picture and I liked the shot, so I kept it.
This is one of David and Andrew's creations.
David and Andrew walking on the beach at sunset.
The Lego store at Downtown Disney was awesome! I didn't think I would ever get Andrew or David out of there. This robot is completely made of Legos.
Quite possibly the coolest McDonald's I have ever seen! (at Downtown Disney)
Can you find Andrew?

OK...there is a story here. We wanted a family picture in Disney with mouse ears on but they were VERY expensive. We would have spent over $40 on 3 pairs so we tried them all on in the Disney Store at Downtown Disney. The only pair we bought are the ones on Andrew with Mickey's butt on them.
Andrew being dramatic..he thinks the shark is eating him.
This was taken at the beginning of the day...
...and this was almost 15 hours later!

Going GREEN...
...no, not that kind of green. Andrew is going to Vacation Bible School at Crossroads this week and today was CRAZY hair day. He was very excited when I came home with lime green hair paint yesterday. He was one of the 10 finalists that got to go on stage and win a prize. He was so excited! Now, if you see my kid in the next week or so and his hair looks a bit GREEN, you will know why. (I really hope it washes out!) Sorry for the picture quality. These were taken with my point and shoot camera which just goes to show that more megapixels isn't always better! (12 versus 10)

Out with the pink, in with the LIME GREEN!
Well, the blog is now live! I also made some changes to my website to incorporate the new logo and my new favorite color - LIME GREEN. Hop on over and check it out! The images will also be larger now on my blog...I just have to figure out how to get the horizontal images the correct size. ENJOY!
