New Product - 6x6 Storybook Replica

We have introduced a new product to be used as a Parent Album. It will sell for $300 and is a press-printed replica of the couple's album. I just received my sample and I LOVE IT!

First for Everything

On Friday, I took Andrew to Audubon Park for a watercolor class for preschoolers. Since it was cold and rainy, the kids met a treefrog and a snake indoors in lieu of their outdoor hike. I was fortunate to meet Jackie, who takes care of these wonderful critters. We were talking about the frog which somehow led into my photography and she asked me if I would like to do a job for her the next day. "Sure" I said and as we continued talking, I found that it was a video job. Well, I have a video camera but I do NOT claim to be a pro at it. She really needed someone so I accepted the challenge. Of course, I took my camera too.

This was a rededication of a Civil War cannon at Rose Hill cemetery. I think I did a nice job on the video, but I really want to share some of the amazing images I got. It is kind of nice to step outside the box every so often and shoot something different.

Sam & Shannon - 2nd photographer

On Easter weekend, I had the pleasure of joining my friend Matt for a wedding at Bauer's Grove and 2nd shooting. The wedding was held indoors in front of the fireplace which made for a very intimate setting. Of course, we had to brave the cold for some outdoor pics, but it was worth it. Here are a few of my faves:

This weekend, David took Andrew sledding and when they were finished, he stood at the top of the hill launching snowballs at Andrew. I love the change of expression on his face in this series of images as the snowball comes in. If you look closely at the 3rd photo, you can even see the snowball in mid-air just before impact. You might have to click on this photo to see it larger.

Clint and Katie

On Sunday, I had the pleasure photographing this wonderful couple in downtown Evansville. It was a surprisingly warm day for the first weekend in March and we had an awesome time. We started a bit later than we had planned (my fault), but it actually worked out better because we were just finishing up at sunset. Clint and Katie's wedding is just around the corner on April 12th. I look forward to working with you both on your big day!

Josh and Jennifer

Josh and Jennifer were married on February 16th at Cambridge Golf Club. They were an amazing couple and even braved the cold and what was left of the ice storm to take most of their photos outside. Since they were having an evening ceremony, they decided to see each other before the wedding. All Josh could say was WOW! Jennifer was a stunning bride and Josh was just stunned! My friend Matt tagged along as a 2nd photographer that day and got some great candids. Below are some of my favorite images from thier day from myself and Matt. The Wrong Side of the Camera

It seems that I have gotten so used to being behind the camera that I sometimes forget to get in front of it. I was needing a new picture for my website and my friend Matt volunteered to take them for me. Since Andrew was out of school on Monday, he got to tag along and be in some of the photos. He had a blast playing with my new D200. It took him about 5 minutes to burn up the batteries and nearly fill up a card. I had the shutter set on continuous, which means that once he found it, all we heard was cl-cl-cl-cl-cl-cl-cl-cl-cl-cl-cl-cl-cl-cl-cl-ick! Anyway, here are some of my favorites from our session:
